Hotels
The hotels are fine. Petra Palace is a definite improvement on Taibet Zaman which I hope has disappeared permanently.

Programme
The changes at Amman, giving a full day there plus a day shared with Jerash and Aljoun is an improvement. Abandoning Dead Sea Spa Hotel is an improvement too. Two hours is plenty there. Next year's camp at Wadi Rum further enhances the programme.

Wadi Rum
The 4WD vehicles were were fine and an improvement on the open pickup trucks. I suggested to her that starting and finishing at the visitors Centre would be an improvement as we spent at least an hour of our four hour stint either driving on tarmac roads to and from Wadi Rum and waiting for us while we spent half an hour at the visitors centre. This will all change anyway in 2010 with the overnight in a camp.

Walk Grading
I mentioned to you previously and I also brought up the subject with Helen about thinking about regrading the walking to D/D+. The only real D+ walk we now do is Jebel Haroun. Wadi Numeira is much easier than the one we did in 2006 - Wadi Hasa I think - and the Wadi Lib / Ma'in walk can't be fitted in as things stand. This strips out most of the harder walking to leave:-

Ibd Hamman - this is on the margins o D/D+ and could be included with either grade;
Dana - this is mainly level and is an easy path, within D;
Petra - the walks to the Monastery and the High Place are within D;
Jebel Haroun is definitely D+
Wadi Numeira is D.

I understand we're staying a night at Aljoun next year, with a walk in the area. If this is D grade too, that more or less cliches it.

It's worth a discussion as I suppose there are pros and cons with rebadging.

It's nice to see this tour establish itself into our programme and these improvements should give it a longer life in our brochure.

Thanks again for your organisation.
